Belmont

Another Chicago based manufacturer/brand who made radios for various companies to sell as "branded" sets. Radios were made for Goodyear bearing their "Wings" tags and also for Western Auto as a Truetone brand. Freshman and Imperial are trade names also associated with Belmont, as well as a host of others. It''s remarkable, given their output during the great days of radio, how few bear the Belmont name.

Bendix

Bendix radio was a comparitive "late comer" with consumer radios, having produced a slew of electronics during WW II. Fairly popular with collectors, particularly their Catalin and polystyrene models which are both attractive and well designed radios. For the most part they produced rather compact Bakelite radios often painted their familiar creme colored white. Generally modestly priced, collectors are often able to collect every model without "busting the budget."
