United Engine was located in Lansing, Michigan. It appears that this radio might have been made for them by Wilcox Labs, which is a predecessor of Wilcox-Gay which was located in Charlotte, Michigan.

Appears to be a 1930 model year based on advertisements from the august 1930 issue of Radio Retailing. Tubes are 4 ea 24's, 2 ea 45's, a 27 and a 45. I have no schematic on this radio. The reason I suspect Wilcox as the actual manufacturer is some unsupported information on United's hit and miss engines that speculates that the radios were made by Wilcox-gay and the fact that Wilcox uses very similar speakers and a similarly wired 5-pin speaker connector.

It appears to be a TRF with a push pull output.
