There's no model number on this radio, and the Balkeit schematics on NostalgiaAir don't quite match it either. The styling looks like about 1934-5, and most of the tubes fit into that period, but there's an octal-socket ballast tube that suggests it's from just a little later. It's a four-tube TRF with a short wave band -- an unusual feature for such an inexpensive radio. The little metal badge under the nice little airplane dial says "Balkeit Globe Trotter," so I guess that's its name. |
