This was my first attempt at recovering a radio. The material is the closest match to the original fabric that I was able to find. It is actually upholstery fabric and was very difficult to work with. The color is much darker than the photos show. The radio is an AC/battery operated one with six tubes, produced around 1947. It is an excellent receiver, having a tuned RF amp in the front end |
